Board Approves Rider Vision Strategic Plan

(Jan. 10, 2014) The Board of Education unanimously approved the Rider Vision strategic plan at its January 7 meeting. The plan includes a new mission statement, vision statement and strategic objectives. View the Rider Vision Plan.

Superintendent George Zini thanked the 24-member planning team for the work they put into developing the important document that will serve as a roadmap for the district.

The next step in the process is the formation of Action Planning Teams that focus on each of the following major initiatives outlined in the plan:
#1 - Communication
#2 - Best use of Physical Space
#3 - Technology
#4 - Promote Health & Well-Being of Students
#5 - Student Engagement

Each team will consist of 8-10 people and will be co-chaired by a District administrator and one other person. Mr. Zini is seeking staff, community members, parents, and students to serve on these teams. These teams will be formed in the next few weeks with the goal of completing the operational plans by the end of this school year.

Anyone interested in participating on one of the Action Planning Teams can contact Mindy Potts, Board Clerk, at 758-7575, ext. 3001 or by email
