Superintendent Presents Draft 2017-18 Budget

(April 5, 2017) At the April 4 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent of Schools George Zini presented a draft budget for the upcoming year. Zini stressed the $38,978,746 draft budget could change to include some recommended additions if the state aid proposed in the governor's budget comes in higher in the final state budget. The estimated tax levy increase of 1.47 percent is at the district’s allowable tax levy limit calculated under the state’s tax cap guidelines. The Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, April 12 at 7 p.m. in the high school library in anticipation of adopting next year's school budget.
