(Nov. 15, 2016) On Nov. 14 in the Ichabod Crane High School library in front of family, friends, teammates and staff, student-athlete Tara Sager signed a national letter of intent to play women's college basketball at the NCAA intercollegiate Division II level next year at Florida Southern College.

Tara, the daughter of Bill and Kathleen Sager, has accepted a full scholarship to play at FSC. After visiting the campus in October and meeting the coaches and team and playing in ascrimmage in a team uniform, Tara said she knew it was a great fit both academically and athletically.

After years of hard work on teams including NY Havoc AAU, in which she competed throughout the country at the national level with Coach Terrence Florence, the Ichabod Crane Riders with Coach Melissa Vooris, where they advanced to sectional play, and Empire State Takeover summer league with Coach Scott Alvarez, Tara concluded her recruitment process by committing to Coach Betsy Harris and is looking forward to continuing her basketball career as a Florida Southern Moc.

While at Ichabod Crane, Tara played three years of volleyball and four years of track and field. She became a member of the National Honory Society in her junio year.

Congratulations to Tara and her family!
