Boys' Modified Soccer Wrap Up

Submitted by Coach Bob Hanna

The 2017-18 Boys Modified Soccer team finished the season 10-1. The boys were able to dominate most of the games they played this year. In just 11 games the boys scored 82 goals and had 66 assists.

We were also able to give all the players lots of playing time considering we had 20 players. Every single player on the team had at least one goal or one assist.

We were fourtunate to have an explosive offense this season. The forwards were led by Baden Seabury who scored a team high 20 goals this season. Ivan Cruz provided excellent offense with 5 goals and 6 asists on the season. Our half backs were led by Joe Desmonie, who had 12 goals and 5 assists. The rest of the 8th grade halfback provided a substanial part of our offense and defense. Zach Zeyak, Chase Martino, Gilberto Meza and Paul Zietsman all contributed at least 10 points to the team on the season.

We also had a solid defense this season. The defense was led by Avery Clickman who provided a solid back bone in the back field. Carson Weaver, Joe Accousti, Erik Loyola, Nate Garafalo and Alexis Cintron were able to keep the other teams offenses at bay. Luke Desmonie provided solid play in goal all season. We also had a very energetic group of seventh graders who provided a huge spark to the team. Kol Christian and Junior Hernandez played striker. Dayten Sweeney, Alex Sweeney, and Cody Cavagnaro played halfback. Rey Cruz was the jack of all trades, playing valuable minutes at every level.

I am very proud of the boys' accomplishments on the field. They played very hard all the time and cooperated with each other to make the season enjoyable. They also were very responsible and respectful off the field as well. I am looking forward to watching these boys in the future, do their family, their teachers, their coaches and their community proud.

Thank you for all of the support this season,
Coach Bob Hanna‚Äč
