Ichabod Crane 5th Grader Gavin Warner Competes in USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships

 

(Updated July 31, 2017) Ichabod Crane "5th grader" GAVIN WARNER has finished competing in the 51st annual USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships, held last week in Lawrence, Kansas. Nearly 10,000 athletes competed in the 2017 national championships, held over the course of the week (July 24-30) in Rock Chalk Park.

Gavin competed in the Boys 9-10 age division in three events, and finished with two "personal records" (28.50 in the 200m and 1:05.14 in the 400m.) Gavin finished 13th overall in High Jump, 20th overall in the 400m, and 21st in the 200m. Great job, Gavin!

(July 26, 2017) Congratulations to Ichabod Crane 5th grader Gavin Warner who is competing in the 51st annual USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships this week in Lawrence, KS. Gavin competes locally with Glencadia Bullets Track Club.

Gavin qualified for Nationals with his top 5 finishes in (3) events at Regionals: two 1st place finishes (in both the 400m and High Jump) and a 2nd place in the 200m. He'll be competing in all 3 events at Nationals this week. More info on the meet can be found here.
