Stuyvesant Falls VFW Post 9593's Joe Dybas, ICHS English teacher Connie Melone, Susanna Dolan, Debra McKinney,

(Dec. 8, 2017) The Stuyvesant Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9593 conducted its annual Voice of Democracy competition recently at Ichabod Crane High School with the assistance of English teacher Ms. Connie Melone. Students submitted recorded essays of the theme "American History: Our Hope for the Future."

This morning, Stuyvesant Falls VFW Post 9593's Joe Dybas presented awards to this year's winners:

First Place - Lindsey Moon with an award of $300
Second Place - Debra McKinney with an award of $200
Third Place - Susanna Dolan with an award of $100

Mr. Dybas also recognized Ms. Melone for coordinating Ichabod Crane's participation in the Voice of Democracy contest for nearly 30 years.
