Caesar Ferrari Nominated to Participate in Law Day

(June 5, 2018) Ichabod Crane High School valedictorian Caesar Ferrari participated in Law Day on May 1 at the New York State Court of Appeals. Caesar was nominated to lead the Pledge of Allegiance by the Third District Administrative Judge, the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin, based upon his superlative academic record and extensive community service.

"This is an honor for Caesar, his family and for Ichabod Crane," said Principal Craig Shull. "We are very proud of him!"

The event was well attended by Judges, lawyers, and other dignitaries. The main speakers were the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, the Hon. Janet DiFiore, and the New York State Solicitor General and now newly appointed Interim Attorney General, Barbara Underwood.

"Caesar did a terrific job representing his school, community, family and himself," said Village Court Justice David Dellehunt.

Caesar said, "It was quite an honor to participate in the Law Day celebration. Meeting local judiciaries gave me a newfound appreciation for the community in which I am a part of. I am grateful for all the dedicated, personable and accessible individuals who consistently facilitate judicial tasks and work to make the community a better place everyday. I will forever cherish this incomparable experience, as words are unable express my gratitude."
