Ichabod Crane Middle School Announces December Rider of the Month Students

MS December Rider of the Month students

(Jan. 16, 2018) Each month, Ichabod Crane Middle School honors students that demonstrate our school district’s mission and community values. These students have been recognized by middle school teachers and staff for exemplifying what it means to be an Ichabod Crane Rider. They exhibit all-around good character, morals and demonstrate Rider values and Rider pride in the classroom, in sports, arts, music, and in the community.

Students receive a certificate, a letter from Congressman Faso and an ice cream coupon donated by Stewarts.

We are pleased to announce the Rider of the Month students for December 2017 and what teachers had to say about them.

Hannah is extremely hard working and diligent. Hannah promotes her own success and others. Her classmates and her teachers feel lucky to work with her every day!

Thomas Cooper
Thomas Cooper

Tom has been an important part of our team all year because of his enthusiasm and his excellent contributions to class, but he is being named our Rider of the Month at this time for specific acts of leadership. Several seventh graders expressed an interest in joining sports teams. Tom told them how to do this, helped them make the necessary contacts, answered questions, and provided encouragement. While not all followed through, those that did have now found new interests and are enjoying experiences they would not have otherwise had. These students look up to Tom and now seek out his advice on other topics. We are grateful to have such a terrific role model with us!

Haylee SouthcottHaylee Southcott

We are proud to announce our Rider of the Month. Haylee is very quiet student, but her hard work and perseverance shouldn’t be underestimated. She pays attention in class, always tries her best, and sets high standards for herself. Haylee took her Student-Teacher Switch Day role very seriously, as she planned a great lesson. She is kind to her classmates by offering them help, when needed.

Luke Desmonie

Team 8N is excited to announce that Luke Desmonie is our Rider of the Month. Luke is kind and conscientious. He works well with anyone and is productive anywhere you seat him in class. Luke is polite and courteous to adults and peers alike. He is inciteful and willingly participates in class, often when others are reluctant to speak up. Congratulations Luke! We look forward to seeing what you have in store for the future!
