Middle School Team Competes in NYS Odyssey of the Mind Tournament

(April 10, 2018) Ichabod Crane Middle School's Odyssey of the Mind team came in 8th out of 18 teams for their division and problem in the state tournament on April 7. Congratulations to the team of Samara Regan, Trinity Armstrong, Breonica Miller, Natalya Talarico, Jeanne Blau and Lillian Gould and coached by Laura Michell Regan and Resa Dimino. We are proud of you!


Ichabod Crane Teams Compete in Region Odyssey of the Mind Tournament; Middle School Team Advances to State Tournament

(March 13, 2018) Ichabod Crane’s four teams competed in the Region 4 Odyssey of the Mind Tournament on Saturday. All of our teams did an amazing job and scored really well. Our MS team placed 1st in their division and problem and will move on to the state tournament in Binghamton on April 7th.

Four Teams to Compete in Regional Odyssey of the Mind Tournament March 10

(Feb. 27, 2018) Ichabod Crane Central School District will be represented by four (4) teams in the Region 4 Odyssey of the Mind Tournament on Saturday, March 10 at the Rensselear City School District.

The breakdown of the teams is as follows:

  • 1 Division I team from the Primary School
  • 1 Division I team from the Elementary School/Middle School
  • 2 Division II teams from the Elementary School/Middle School

The teams have a choice of five different problems to solve, each from a different category (mechanical/vehicle, technical performance, classics, structure and performance). The teams compete within their division to solve one of the problems in an 8-minute time limit. There is an additional spontaneous component each team participates in. The regional winners in each division for each problem will advance to the state tournament on Saturday, April 7 at Binghamton University.
