Board Adopts 2018 Capital Project

The Board of Education adopted a Capital Improvement Project proposal for the Ichabod Crane CSD during its meeting on September 17. The $27,115,200 project would modernize classroom space, strengthen our educational and athletic programs, and address health & safety and infrastructure concerns. The proposal follows a comprehensive Building Condition Survey and programmatic review our District recently conducted to assess the physical condition of our buildings & grounds and determine how our facilities could best support the needs of our students, both now and in the future.

ICCSD anticipates receiving 73.5% in NYS building aid, meaning our District’s share is projected to be 26.5% of the total cost, or $7,185,528.

District residents will decide on the project in a vote scheduled for December 12, 2018.
