Board Hosts Capital Project Community Forum July 24

The Board of Education will hold a community forum on a proposed Capital Improvement Project for the Ichabod Crane Central School District on Tuesday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School auditorium. This meeting is an opportunity for residents to learn about the work being considered, ask questions, and provide comment to the Board as it develops the project. District officials will lead a presentation on the scope of work being discussed and the potential financial impact of the project. A community question & answer/comment session will follow the presentation.

The Board is planning a multi-phase renovation project to modernize and strengthen the District’s academic, physical education, and athletic programs, as well as address aging infrastructure, health and safety concerns, and traffic access on campus. The Board plans to finalize the scope of work over the summer and will ask voters to decide on the initial phase of renovations in a referendum scheduled for December 12, 2018.

Information about the Capital Improvement Project is also available on our Capital Projects webpage.
