Capital Project Community Survey

(July 18) If you are a member of the Ichabod Crane School District community, you can help out by taking our Capital Project Community Survey. It only takes a few minutes and will give the District valuable feedback as we head forward in the project. Take the survey online and please share with other members of the school district community. The survey will be open until August 15, 2018.

Kinderhook Tri-Village Rotary Club Presents $20,000 to District

(July 12, 2018) The Kinderhook Tri-Village Rotary Club presented the Ichabod Crane Central School District with a check for $20,000 at the July 10, 2018, Board of Education meeting. This money will be used to start the CYCLE Kids program at the Ichabod Crane Elementary School. See pictures and learn more.

Capital Project Community Forum on July 24

(July 11, 2018) The Board of Education will host a community forum on the proposed Capital Improvement Project for Ichabod Crane Central School District on Tuesday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School auditorium. This meeting is an opportunity for residents to learn about the work being considered, ask questions, and provide comment to the Board as it develops the project. 2018 Ichabod Crane High School Graduation: Pictures and Highlights

(July 5, 2018) On Friday, June 22, 2018 Ichabod Crane High School held its 64th Annual Commencement Ceremony. There were 129 graduates in the Ichabod Crane Class of 2018, many of whom received Regents with Honors diplomas, Regents with Advanced Designation diplomas and Regents with Mastery in Math and Science diplomas. Judith Bury, Chris Gibson, Gail Nadeem Helfer and E. Joyce Gould Robinson Inducted Into Ichabod Crane Wall of Fame

(June 25, 2018) Four outstanding individuals were inducted into Ichabod Crane's inaugural Wall of Fame on Friday, June 22, 2018. In front of family, friends and supporters, Judith Bury, Chris Gibson, E. Six Retiring Teachers Recognized

(June 22, 2018) On June 22, Superintendent Michael Vanyo, ICHS Principal Craig Shull and Elementary/Middle School Principal Tim Farley recognized six retiring Ichabod Crane Central School District employees in front of their colleagues and thanked each employee for their dedication to the district. The six teachers have a combined 175 years of service to the district. Board Holds Special Meeting to Inform Community of Capital Project Development

(June 21, 2018) The Board of Education held a special meeting on June 19 for the community to learn more about the development of a capital project that could be presented to the community as a referendum vote in December 2018. The Board, its Facilities Committee and district administration have been working together to discuss the Building Conditions Survey and potential items that could be part of an upcoming capital project. The architects from CS Arch shared an overview of the project that night as they get closer to developing the final scope of the project. Olivia Chandler Appointed Student Representative on Board of Education

(June 21, 2018) ICHS junior Olivia Chandler was appointed as the new student representative on the Board of Education at its meeting on June 19. Olivia is an outstanding student and even more impressive individual. She will be an excellent representative of the student body and is excited to be a part of the Board of Education. The Board and administration are very excited to work with her next school year!

Marcella Sanchez Appointed Elementary/Middle School Assistant Principal

(June 20, 2018) At its meeting on June 19, the Ichabod Crane Board of Education approved the appointment of Marcella Sanchez to the position of assistant principal of Ichabod Crane Elementary/Middle School, effective July 23, 2018. Ms. Sanchez replaces Anthony Marturano, who will transition to the assistant principal position at the high school on July 1. Mr. Marturano replaces Daniel Farley who will continue to work at the high school as an English teacher. Learn More
