Proposed Capital Project - 2018

Ichabod Crane CSD is proposing a $27,115,200 Capital Improvement Project that would modernize classroom space, strengthen our educational and athletic programs, and address health & safety and infrastructure concerns. The proposal follows a comprehensive Building Condition Survey and programmatic review our District recently conducted to assess the physical condition of our buildings & grounds and determine how our facilities could best support the needs of our students, both now and in the future. District residents will be asked to decide on the project in a vote scheduled for December 12.

ICCSD anticipates receiving 73.5% in NYS building aid, meaning our District’s share is projected to be 26.5% of the total cost, or $7,185,528. The District will also apply $1,000,000 in reserves to the project to further reduce the impact on local taxes.

Information pertaining to the project is posted to this page as it becomes available.
