Mr. Allard’s 12th Grade Economics Class started work on their Tropical Island Project this week. Both in-person and remote students teamed up to develop and start farming/fishing industries on a Tropical Island.
Collaboratively the student teams will need to choose whether their islands will be a Traditional, Command, Free Market or Mixed Market Economy. The teams will also consider a variety of other economic factors for a developing nation.
At the project’s conclusion, teams will present to the World Bank (aka their classmates) for investment in their islands’ future.
